Cave of the Giant

The Cave of the Giant is another of our most popular excursions, and one which leaves everyone with wonderful memories.

Visit to the Cave of the Giant.

This is without doubt our most successful excursion of last year. Situated just 30 to 40 minutes away from the beach at El Portús, in the direction of Cartagena, the Cave of the Giant offers many attractive aspects. You cannot miss it. In the interior of the cave we discover a salty lake where you can take a delightful swim. This activity, depending on the level of the group, can be combined with different crossings for example to Fatares Beach or to the Island of the Doves. It is therefore one of the most complete excursions: Enjoying kayaking along this incredible coast line, with the cliffs forming part of the protected area of El Roldan (ZEPA), visiting the virgin Cove of Fatares, and especially visiting the interior of the Cave and bathing in the still waters of the lake.

Groups

These activities are especially designed for groups, whether it be groups of friends, school groups, sports associations or corporation groups.

Longer voyages.

Directed to kayakers who already have a certain degree of experience and who want to go a little further, voyages in sea kayaks in the south-east of Spain can last several days and allow you to get to know and enjoy the Mediterranean coast from a unique point of view. These crossings have been designed keeping in mind the different levels of the kayaker-canoeist. From the easiest up to the most challenging. The routes can include lodging or can be independant, in open kayak-canoes or in closed kayaks.

Kayak crossings.

With our base in El Portús, on the center of the Murcian coast in Spain, and one of the jewels of the Mediterranean, we have areas of beaches and cliffs free of any type of construction. This offers us possibilities of excursions of both ½ day and of several days, in surroundings of incomparable beauty and high environmental interest. In this area we can find nests of species such as the Peregrine Falcon, Bonelli's Eagle and the Eagle Owl.

Since there is practically no marine platform, we can find at just a few meters from the coast marine species such as Sunfish, Swordfish and Dolphins, and we must not forget the special protected zones for birds where species such as the common petrel, Audouin's Gull, Cory's shearwater and Cormorants make their nests.
